Dr Kate Roberts

Kate is a medical oncologist who has gained experience from multiple hospitals throughout South-East-Queensland, prior to commencing a clinical oncology fellowship at the Mater Adults’ Hospital in 2017. During her fellowship, she was involved in a number of Phase 3 clinical trials, and also undertook research into the management of long-term symptoms of breast cancer patients. Kate is passionate about providing a patient-centred approach for each patient, by acknowledging each patient’s own beliefs and values towards their wellbeing. She believes that excellent communication with the patient and their family is important during each step of the patient’s journey.

Kate also currently holds a position at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where she treats a diverse range of tumour types, including breast, lung, colorectal, genitourinary, gastro-intestinal and brain cancer. Kate maintains a strong interest in clinical trial participation, and continues her research into cancer survivorship symptoms.
